According to a study by scientists from college "Pomona" in California - USA, insect called "Paratarsotomus macropalpis" for a second is able to traverse a distance of about 322 times more than the length of his body, which is three millimeters.
If it were an account, pick that claimed the move with a speed of 2,100 miles per hour!
"California louse", called "Paratarsotomus macropalpis", is the size as a sesame noodle.
"If one considers the speed and size of the animal, then it is the fastest creature in the world," said zoologists.

Say cheese! Ronaldo and girlfriend Irina Shayk swap glossy shoots for cheesy poses  in embarrassing holiday snaps

He's the multi-millionaire footballer who has so much money, he hired an entire beach for his New Year holiday - but Cristiano Ronaldo and girlfriend Irina Shayk proved they're just like us when it comes to embarrassing holiday snaps.
There was more than a whiff of Cheddar about their poses outside their villa at an exclusive resort in the Maldives in these pictures which have just emerged.
Irina, 25, was showing off her enviable bikini body in a brightly-coloured neon pink and blue and white polka two-piece - and her boyfriend, also 25, was no slouch when it came to flashing his famous abs either.

Picture not so perfect: Cristiano Ronaldo and Irina Shayk were nevertheless all smiles as they pose for pictures while on vacation in the Maldives last month
But whether the sun had gone to their heads or whether there had been a little too much light refreshment on the sunloungers, the stagey shots weren't a patch on their usual glossy poses.

And as the pictures have only just been released, perhaps the photos got lost as the local high street photo developers just like with normal people too...
Cristiano of course is more used to posing oiled up in Armani pants, and Russian supermodel Irina has graced the pages of Sports Illustrated for their prestigious swimwear issue.

It's rumoured that the Portuguese football star hired the entire beachfront to avoid prying eyes and enjoy utter privacy, but he was more than happy to pose with his model girlfriend for resort staff.
He was taking a break from playing for Real Madrid and according to a blog by one of the resort workers, was staying on the island of Rania on the Faafu atoll.
There was no sign however of Cristiano's little boy, who was allegedly born to a 20-year British student last year after a fling with the star after meeting in a London club.

The Portuguese star shocked the world when he announced out of the blue last July that he had become a father.
The winger said from the start that the child, called Cristiano Ronaldo Junior, would be under his 'exclusive guardianship'.
But he is having lots of childcare help from his family, including his mother Dolores and his sisters and brother, who he's exceptionally close to.
It's claimed the birth mother accepted £10 million from Ronaldo to give up her rights as a parent.

English Football Cocaine Scandal: Police Investigate 'Major Club'

Police are investigating an alleged cocaine scandal within one of England's most famous clubsReuters
British police have been called in to investigate a suspected drugs scandal inside one of England's most famous football clubs. Allegations include senior club officials being caught snorting cocaine off boardroom tables. One of the suspects is apparently a household name and extremely respected within the game.
Although the club and the division in which they perform cannot be named for legal reasons, the Guardian newspaper quotes a high-level source saying the club itself asked police to conduct the investigation "following allegations that hard drugs were being consumed by certain people on the premises".
Police were apparently called when a leading executive noticed white powder on a colleague's clothing when he sat down at a home game. The incident where one or more board members were allegedly caught snorting cocaine off a boardroom table occurred at an away match.
Robbie Fowler's notorious goal celebration in 1999 for which he was banned
The source within the club continues: "The police have been informed, as have the relevant league, so it is now a matter for the police to find out if there is a case to answer."
Other teams within the same division are apparently abuzz with rumour about the identity of the personalities involved and the league in which they play.
Cocaine scandals have swept English football before.
In 2003, former Aston Villa, Manchester United, Chelsea and Australia goalkeeper Mark Bosnich received a nine-month ban after testing positive for cocaine. In 2004 Chelsea sacked striker Adrian Mutu after the Romanian admitted taking the drug.
Rumours about drug use can be extremely damaging for anyone connected with football, even when totally unfounded. Liverpool's Robbie Fowler became so fed up with being taunted about his imaginary drug use in 1999 that after scoring a goal against local rivals Everton he pretended to snort the white goal line.
He was fined by the club and banned for four matches by the Football Association.

Major Earthquake Hits Mexico City

Rescue services survey the damage following a 7.5 magnitude earthquake in MexicoTwitter
A major earthquake has shaken Mexico City. The US Geological Survey (USGS) says the quake, of magnitude 7.2, was centred north of the Pacific resort of Acapulco in Tecpan, Guerrero. The tremor was felt across central and southern Mexico.
"There is a crisis of panic," Alicia Dominguez of the civil protection office told the Associated Press. "It's mainly the tourists who are shaken."
People in high-rise apartments took to the streets, where they could be seen, still in bathrobes and pajamas, talking to relatives on their mobile phones.
"I started to hear the walls creak and I said, 'Let's go,'" said Rodolfo Duarte, 32, who fled his third-floor apartment.
"This is really strong," said Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez Chavez, an apartment building guard in Mexico City. "And I'm accustomed to earthquakes."
In Mexico City, with a population of around 20 million one of the world's largest cities, buildings were reported as swaying as people fled to the street, but as yet there are no reports of any casualties or serious damage. The U.S. Pacific Warning Center said they don't believe a tsunami will be generated.
BBC reporter Will Grant in Mexico City said there was a sense of panic when the earthquake struck as people ran to the streets, but that the city was relatively empty due to the fact it was the Good Friday holiday.
"There are some broken windows, but so far we have no dead or injured," said Ricardo de la Cruz, director general of the Civil Protection Agency.
In 1985 around 6,000 people were killed in a quake which shook the city, but that was an 8.1 magnitude, far  higher than today's tremor - which also took place at a greater depth, meaning damage was less severe.
In recent weeks a number of earthquakes have occurred around the Pacific Rim, or so-called "Ring of Fire", as far apart as California, the Solomon Islands and Chile. Mexico citizens have been warned after-shocks may continue.

South Korea Ferry Tragedy: US Amphibious Assault Vessel to Join Rescue Operation as 295 Remain Missing

The mother of a passenger who was on a sinking ferry reacts as she finds his son at a gym where rescued passengers gather in JindoReuters
An amphibious assault vessel of the US navy is en route to join rescue operations after a South Korean passenger ship, with 477 onboard, sank off the country's southern coast with 295 people remaining unaccounted for.
The US vessel, equipped with two helicopters, was on a routine patrol mission in the western sea and is quickly being deployed to help the ongoing rescue measures, US Forces Korea said.
South Korea's coast guard vessels, commercial ships and helicopters are already in the scene taking part in rescue operations.
"We will try to determine the cause of the accident after rescue operations are over," Second Vice Home Affairs Minister Lee Gyeong-og told reporters in Seoul, adding that the immediate focus was on rescue measures.
South Korean President Park Geun-hye ordered maximum efforts to rescue as many survivors as possible.
Initial reports had said rescuers plucked 368 people from freezing waters as the passengers, mostly school students, jumped out when the vessel started sinking but South Korean government later clarified saying 295 passengers were missing.
There were 325 students on board the 6,325-tonne vessel, which capsized fully in about two hours.
The ferry, identified as Sewol, was en route to the southern resort island of Jeju from the port of Incheon

Somalia: High Speed Internet Gives Mogadishu Residents 'Culture Shock'

Somalia: High Speed Internet Gives Mogadishu Residents 'Culture Shock'

An internet cafe manager uses a computer in an internet cafe in the Hodan area of Mogadishu.Reuters
An internet provider has revealed that, since the Mogadishu launch of their fibre optic services, residents of the Somali capital have experienced a "culture shock".
"Any video or site just pops up... they're very excited about the speed," Somalia Wireless's Liban Egal told the BBC.
The capital's intelligentsia has been flocking to buildings equipped with internet access, bringing access to sites such as YouTube for the first time.
Egal said the difference for Somalis was the difference between "day and night".
"Every time a fibre optic cable is connected to a country they see their GDP [gross domestic product] going up because their communication costs go down," Mr Egal said.
"All life will be affected - businesses, the government, universities - they all will see the benefits."
Earlier this year, 3G mobile services were ended after threats from Islamist insurgents of al-Shabaab.
The group issued a January threat which ordered all internet services to be stopped, otherwise those who did not comply would be viewed as "working with the enemy" and targeted. National 3G networks subsequently obeyed the order in fear of reprisals.
Al-Shabaab has been removed from the capital by African Union forces, but it still controls vast swathes of the country where they have imposed a strict form of sharia law.
Even though the fibre optic connection has continued despite the Islamist threats, its implementation across Somalia has been limited to Mogadishu because of the high-level risk of terrorism to infrastructure investments.
Somalia was a failed state without a functioning government for over twenty years from 1991 until September 2012, when Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was elected as president.

European parliament adopts 'net neutrality' law

European parliament adopts 'net neutrality' law

The European Parliament adopted a "net neutrality" bill on Thursday, barring Internet service providers from giving preference to some kinds of traffic on their networks — such as streaming video — when it profits them.
The legislation responded to fears that providers would allot the lion's share of their bandwidth to people and companies willing to pay extra, slowing the Internet for others.
The bill also forbids telecommunications companies from blocking or degrading Internet services such as Skype or WhatsApp to prevent them from competing with their own offerings.
European Commission Vice President Neelie Kroes, who authored the bill, hailed the 534-25 vote as "historic."
The vote was greeted with delight by consumer advocates and online freedoms groups, and with dismay by telecoms, who say they are systematically being denied profits they need to innovate and invest in new capacity.
European policy is now departing sharply with the route taken in the U.S., where a net neutrality law was struck down in January. Since then, Netflix has contracted with Comcast for preferential treatment of Internet traffic bearing its film streams.
As part of the same package of telecommunications reforms approved Thursday, "roaming" charges that mobile phone users pay when traveling in other countries will be banned within the European Union by 2016.
"Europe's telecoms operators are facing decreasing revenues ... compared with operators in the U.S. and Asia," said the GSM Association, an industry group for mobile phone companies. In a statement signed by director Anne Bouverot, the group said European laws are "impairing their ability to invest in the infrastructure required to put Europe back on the path to growth and jobs."
The bill must pass a final hurdle before it becomes law: approval by national politicians at a Council of the European Union meeting later this year.
"Now the pressure turns to European leaders to listen to the people — not Vodafone, Orange, Deutsche Telekom and Telefonica," said Luis Morago of activist group Avaaz, referring to a group of Europe's largest telecommunications companies.

Barcelona Crisis: From Neymar and Messi Financial Scandals to Fifa Transfer Ban

Barcelona Crisis: From Neymar and Messi Financial Scandals to Fifa Transfer Ban

During the last five years, we have heard that Barcelona are defined by their philosophy as a club and their values. However, this speech leaves much to be desired if we analyse the shady aspects of the club's recent behaviour.
Fifa's decision to sanction Barça after alleged infractions related to the international transfer and registration of 10 players under the age of 18 – including 'the Korean Messi' Lee Seung Woo – is not the only thing that has brought the image of the club into question during a tumultuous year.
The Catalan giants have been embroiled in difficult court issues. Leo Messi had to pay €15m to avoid a tax evasion court case related to his image rights, having been accused of defrauding €4m in back taxes.
Then there was more financial controversy, this time surrounding Neymar. The Brazilian star joined Barça from Santos last summer, with the Catalan club initially saying they paid £48m for his services.
However, after being investigated by a court for possible misappropriation of funds following complaints from a Barcelona member, they admitted that the real price of the deal was £73m – this contributed to President Sandro Rosell's resignation.
Rosell left the presidency two and a half years before his term was up, as the Neymar case brought a torrent of criticism – even his family received threats before he handed over the reins to vice-president Josep Maria Bartomeu.
And as if that was not enough, Barcelona are also being heavily criticised for their plannedCamp Nou redevelopment, which the club's board wants to see go ahead despite widespread opposition.
Barça's directors opted to recruit Tata Martino as a consequence of Tito Vilanova's unfortunate health problems, and the Argentine boss has still to win over his critics. In fact, many reports suggest that the coach is not comfortable at the Camp Nou and wants to leave.
So when all is taken into consideration, it is been an annus horribilis for Barcelona – certainly as turbulent as the strife at the end of Frank Rijkard's period in charge, and arguably as bad as anything in living memory.
But, remarkably, the Blaugrana are still in contention for three trophies. So there is still time to achieve glory, and make this a year to remember rather than forget.

She moved a leg sideways, resting it up against the desk as she braced herself to move against him.

She moved a leg sideways, resting it up against the desk as she braced herself to move
against him.

“I have a question.”
Not even looking over at her from his computer screen, he nodded and said, “You often do.”
She pursed her lips together and responded, “Yes, but they’re never work related.  This one is inappropriate so I’m asking permission to ask it.”
Now he did look over at her and repeat back, “Inappropriate?”
She nodded.
“Ok. Ask away,” he gave her permission while he steepled his hands together.
She blushed and said, “I have always wondered if – if you’ve ever…”
She was trailing off so he hurried her on to her question, “Now you have to ask because I’m curious.”
“…If you’ve ever wanted someone down there giving head while you’re working?” she pointed to underneath his desk.
His eyes twinkled with mischief and he teased her, “Are you offering?  I think you’re actually small enough to fit down there.”
She blushed and said, “It was just a question. I was curious.”
His eyes dimmed a little, “Of course I’ve thought about it.  There’s usually too many people around my open cubicle so there’s no point in wondering if it could ever actually happen,” he rolled his chair closer to her and continued, “unless two people happened to have worked very late and no one else is around.  I’m assuming that’s why you thought now would be a good time to walk over and start an inappropriate conversation.”
She glanced around the dimly lit office.  It was too late for anyone else to be around and now she realized how dangerous her silly question had been.
Outside of her skirt, he trailed his fingers up the back of her thigh, then followed the top hem around to hook his finger underneath and pull her into his cubicle.
He stood up and slid his other fingers up her left leg, tracing the zipper of her skirt up to her waist.  Slowly pulling the zipper down, her skirt fell down from her waist and lay in a heap around her heels.  He had maneuvered her so she was leaning against his desk and he now stood with barely centimeters between them, his broad shoulders taking up her view of the office.
He stepped back to look down at her and said, “A lace garter belt?  You naughty girl, what does that look like on the other side?”
He spun her around so her hands were braced on his desk and her ass jutted out for his perusal.  The lace garter belt hung around her hips and the straps clung taught against her skin.  Marveling at the curve of her, his hands traced up her thighs, up over the curve of her waist and back into the small of her back.  He brought his hand back down to fit his palm around one cheek, then sprung his hand back to give her a resounding smack on her ass cheek.
She closed her eyes and bit her lip, a small sound of satisfaction hanging in her throat.
He had been staring at her ass but his head shot up to look at the back of her head when he heard the noise. He teased at her, “Oh, you naughty girl, you liked that!”
He did it again, smack, and she moaned as the sensation traveled up her body, destined to stop in a pool of pleasure.  He did it again and she moaned out loud, wiggling against his hand.
He did it one more time, smack!, then glided his fingers up to pull her panties down.  They slid down her legs and dropped to the floor with her skirt.  He moved his hand in between her legs and slowly rubbed her spot of pleasure, eliciting more moans from her.
Unbuttoning his pants, he stepped forward and slid his cock between her legs.  Pushing her hair to the other side of her face, he moved his lips next to her ear and whispered softly, “You’re so warm.”
She moved a leg sideways, resting it up against the desk as she braced herself to move against him.  He unbuttoned her bra and moved his hand to cup her breast as it jiggled back and forth with her movement.  Pinching the nipple, she cried out, “Oh, yes!”
They started to move faster with growing anticipation and he plunged in seemingly deeper with every thrust.  He could look down and see the heart shape of her ass cheeks as they slapped against his body with every movement.
He moved his hand in front of her and again stroked at her pleasure spot.  He pushed hard inside of her, changing their rhythm and as a pounding pressure built inside of her, she eventually responded with convulsions and moans of ecstasy.
His body was ready to respond to her orgasm. He leaned in by her ear and asked, “Can you swallow?”
He remained closer to her so his lips brushed against her temple when she nodded.
He was so close it was difficult pulling completely out of her warm confines, but as he sat down in the chair, her hand was already keeping a steady pace around him.  As soon as he was seated, her mouth was over him, her hot tongue gliding over his hard, smooth skin.  Naughtily sucking, up and down, he felt a tightening in the base of his groin.
She was ready as he groaned and felt his orgasm shoot out of his cock into her mouth.  She paused her up and down movement to suck on the tip as she swallowed, resuming the motion again for a moment afterwards.
Getting up to put her skirt back on, he stopped her with her skirt halfway up her legs.  Running his hands up her thigh and over the soft skin of her ass cheek, he said with a tease in his eye, “I think your question was the best thing I’ve heard all day.”

Tsunami warning after 8.2 quake off coast of Chile

Tsunami warning after 8.2 quake off coast of Chile
A powerful magnitude-8.2 earthquake struck in the Pacific off Chile's northern region on Tuesday, killing at least five people, causing landslides and setting off a small tsunami, leading authorities to order an evacuation.
Interior Minister Rodrigo Penailillo attributed the five deaths to heart attacks or being crushed. In the city of Arica, the mayor reported some minor injuries and said some homes made of adobe were destroyed.
About 300 inmates escaped from a women's prison in the city of Iquique, and officials said Chile's military was sending a planeload of special forces to guard against looting.
The quake shook modern buildings in nearby Peru and in Bolivia's high altitude capital of La Paz.
"We have asked citizens to evacuate the entire coast ... there is no serious damage to houses ... there have been no people hurt," said home office minister Mahmud Aleuy, Reuters reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey initially reported the quake at 8.0, but later upgraded the magnitude. It said the quake struck 61 miles northwest of the Chilean city of Iquique at 8:46 p.m., hitting a region that has been rocked by numerous quakes over the past two weeks.
The quake was so strong that the shaking experienced in Bolivia's capital about 290 miles away was the equivalent of a 4.5-magnitude tremor, authorities there said.
At least eight strong aftershocks followed in the first few hours, including a 6.2 tremor. More aftershocks and even a larger quake could not be ruled out, said seismologist Mario Pardo at the University of Chile.
Some roads in northern Chile were blocked by landslides, causing traffic jams among people leaving the coast.
Chile's national emergency office said there were initial reports of landslides partially blocking some roads and highways, and it called for the "preventive evacuation" of the country's northern coastline, Reuters reported.
The tsunami warning center cancelled tsunami watches for areas other than northern Chile and southern Peru. The only U.S. impact might be higher waves Wednesday for Hawaii's swimmers and surfers, it said. A tsunami advisory was issued for Hawaii, where authorities were monitoring the situation, Reuters reported.
An official at Peru's civil defense office said evacuations were underway on that country's coast. The official, who did not give her name, said there were no immediate reports of damage. Police officer Alejandro Rosado in a Tacna, a Peruvian town near the coast, said no damage or injuries had been reported there.
Chile is one of the world's most earthquake-prone countries. A magnitude-8.8 quake and ensuing tsunami in central Chile in 2010 killed more than 500 people, destroyed 220,000 homes, and washed away docks, riverfronts and seaside resorts.
The strongest earthquake ever recorded also happened in Chile — a magnitude-9.5 tremor in 1960 that killed more than 5,000 people.
Hundreds of earthquakes have shaken Chile's far-northern coast in the past two weeks, keeping people on edge as scientists said there was no way to tell if the unusual string of tremors was a harbinger of an impending disaster.
The unnerving activity began with a strong magnitude-6.7 quake on March 16 that caused more than 100,000 people to briefly evacuate low-lying areas, although no tsunami materialized and there was little physical damage from the shaking.

Cybercriminals Use Text Messages to Empty ATM Cash

Cybercriminals Use Text Messages to Empty ATM Cash

SMS texts are being used by cyber criminals to withdraw cash from ATMs infected with malwareReuters
Cybercriminals are able to withdraw cash from ATMs "across the world" by simply texting an SMS message to a compromised cash machine, according to a new report.
The discovery was made by security firm Symantec which warns that such attacks are likely to become even more prevalent as support for Windows XP - run on 95% of ATMs worldwide - endsnext month.
Symantec has previously reported on a type of malware known as Ploutus used by cybercriminals to access ATMs using an external keyboard.
The latest attacks stem from a variant of this malware identified as Backdoor.Ploutus.B. Once an ATM is infected by this type of Ploutus, cyber criminals are able to simply send a text message to the machine and it will dispense cash.
According to the report, this technique is being used in "a number of places across the world at this time", though Symantec has informed IBTimes UK the majority of infections are currently in South America. Exact numbers are yet to be confirmed.
Fast and convenient
In order to pull off the cyberattack, criminals first need to gain remote control access to an ATM by connecting a mobile phone to the inside of an ATM. This can apparently be achieved multiple ways, though a technique known as 'USB tethering' is commonly used. It creates a shared Internet connection between the phone and the ATM.
How cyber criminals use an SMS message to withdraw cash from an ATM
"After the mobile phone is connected to the ATM and set up is completed, the criminals can send specific SMS command messages to the phone attached inside the ATM," said Daniel Regalado, a malware analyst at Symantec.
"When the phone detects a new message under the required format, the mobile device will convert the message into a network packet and will forward it to the ATM through the USB cable."
Regalado believes using SMS messages to control the ATM is the most convenient method for cybercriminals to control an infected machine.
"The master criminal and money mule can synchronise their actions so that the money is issued just as the money mule pretends to withdraw cash or is walking past the ATM," Regalado said.

Edith Macefield: The 84-Year-Old Who Refused a Million Dollars and Forced a Shopping Mall to Build Around Her House

Edith Macefield: The 84-Year-Old Who Refused a Million Dollars and Forced a Shopping Mall to Build Around Her House

Have you heard of Edith Macefield? This old lady turned down a million dollar offer to sell her home to make way for a shopping mall in Seattle, Washington. Without Edith’s land, the developer had to alter the building’s plan so that it would meander around the small, two-story house. At 84 years old, Edith become a folk hero. And if you think her house looks familiar, it’s probably because it looks amazingly similar to (and could be the inspiration for) the famous flying house in Pixar’s animated film UP.

The story of Edith Macefield reached the public for the first time in 2006, when she refused to relocate and make way for a large shopping mall in the Ballard neighborhood in Seattle. Over the decades, Edith had the chance to see drastic changes taking place in her little neighborhood. Gentrification enabled the replacement of old houses with boutique shops and condos, and eventually these commercial structures closed in on her house. Developers offered her no less than a million dollars to move—an offer which she famously refused. The shopping mall was eventually built, but it had to be modified so as not to disturb Edith’s property.

Edith passed away in 2008 at the age of 87, but she still managed to surprise everyone one last time. She had willed her home to Barry Martin, the construction chief at the adjacent building site, with whom she formed an unlikely friendship. Barry looked after her and drove her to the hospital after she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Since Edith’s death, the house has been remodeled—its walls fixed and windows replaced. Plans are in the works to eventually raise the house and create a public square below, in memory of Edith’s bravery and integrity.

Malaysia flight kidnap by alien!!!???

Missing Malaysia Airlines flight: Eight CONSPIRACY theories on what's happened to the missing plane

As the search for missing Malaysia Airline flight MH370 enters its fifth day,  has sparked a number of conspiracy theories.
From alien abduction and a hidden weapon at work, to a military take out and pilot suicide, the theories keep flowing over the internet.
The Boeing 777 jetliner vanished five days ago with 239 people on board.
The flight left Kuala Lumpur at 4.41pm GMT bound for Beijing, but less than 50 minutes later it lost communication with air traffic control.
It veered off over the South China Sea and headed west for the next hour and 10 minutes, travelling over Malaysia and Thailand.
Its last tracked position on radar recorded the flight about 200 miles off course over the Malacca Strait, near the island of Pulau Perak.
At least 10 countries, including Vietnam and China, are taking part in the search, which involves 40 ships and 34 aircraft.

Deputy Transport Minister Pham Quy Tieu, who heads the Vietnam search, said: "We still have plans to search with a few flights today, while other activities are suspended."
He added that searches by ships were being suspended.

Here are some popular conspiracy theories:

1. Alien abduction

Social media users have jumped on the possibility of extraterrestial life having something to do with the missing plane.
One user wrote: "After an extensive conversation with my father & his partner, we have come to the conclusion that the only explanation is #aliens mh370."
Another added: "I secretly believe that plane is abducted by aliens.. I know I’m not the only one.."
And one user even said there were only two possibilities for its disappearance, aliens or a DB Cooper-style heist.
He wrote: "This malaysian airlines flight has the potential to be either the greatest heist since DB Cooper, or alien abduction. I vote aliens."
